For example, if you have a JK 2017 then it is 7" eyes. JL and Gladiator are 8" unless special edition and it could be a 9". Unless you plan to remove your grill (not necessary) to install. 8 " should be fine. If you have the color inserts on your headlights and normally take an 8" it will only need a 7".
